Zakah Calculator

What is Nisab?

Nisab is the minimum amount of wealth you must own before Zakah becomes obligatory. If your total zakatable assets (minus eligible debts) are below this threshold, you owe no Zakah.

How is it calculated?

  • Gold standard: 87.48g of gold × current gold price
  • Silver standard: 612.36g of silver × current silver price

Choose whichever standard you follow. Many scholars recommend the silver standard as it sets a lower threshold, meaning more people pay Zakah.
